Essential Care is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our website or contact our team.

1. Website application

The online SCN pre-screening application is completed on the Essential Care website. When you press Submit, the website securely sends your answers to an Essential Care Google Apps Script, which creates a private application PDF in Essential Care’s Google Drive and notifies the Essential Care team. The team uses the submitted information to review possible SCN food-support eligibility and contact you about next steps. This is not the official New York State (NYS) AHC screening and does not determine or guarantee eligibility.

2. Information you provide directly

If you call, text, email, or otherwise contact Essential Care, we may receive the information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, coordinate pre-screening and follow-up, support program operations, maintain security, and comply with applicable obligations.

3. Sharing of information

Essential Care does not sell, rent, or trade personal information for marketing purposes. Information may be shared only with service providers used to operate the pre-screening application, when needed to provide a requested service, to comply with law, to protect safety or security, or with your direction or consent.

4. Cookies and technical information

Essential Care does not add advertising trackers or analytics to this website. The hosting provider and your browser may process limited technical information needed to deliver the site securely.

5. Security and retention

Information received directly by Essential Care is protected using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and retained only as long as needed for operational or legal purposes.

6. Mobile information

Mobile opt-in information and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. You may opt out of text communications by replying STOP.
